The first episode of Distorted Icons deals with space travel. The whole idea of the program series is based on a found on the flea market in Lisbon, when one of the girls picked up a magazine dedicated to soviet propaganda. In Kozmizm stories about Yuri Gagarin are told, but you will hear also far more obscure information such as how to colonize the Milky Way, the legend of the lost cosmonauts, or a dwarf sent into space on a suicide mission. New on Radio ON, introducing Francesca Savoldi and Margherita Cavallaro.

We are very pleased to introduce you to our two new contributors: Francesca Savoldi and Margherita Cavallaro based in Lisbon, Portugal. They will propose a monthly show that deals with cultural soviet magazines and propaganda. The shows are a mixture of story-telling and cultural/political history. One part spoken word with elements of radio-drama, and a second part with a mix of enjoyable music that gives the lsitener the opportunity to daydream about visiting flea markets in foreign cities or circling the earth in a Sputnik.
