Barbara Lazara performs An Enzymatic Meshing Machine

Barbara Lazara is a kind of regular on our radio. Adrian Shephard went to see her performance that rounded of a residency at Errant Bodies in Berlin. Adrian had a little talk with her before the show. You will hear this of course. Barbara talked about a very interesting observation. She said that one of the ways to take our DNA is to get a bit of saliva. And she continued that the same DNA had to contain lots of information on languages that we, as mankind, once used. This suggestion was the departure point of her performance. Also without having seen it, it makes for entertaining listening, because of the clever cuts and collages. Towards the end of the show you might feel a stimulus to start coughing.
