In our series dedicated to small (tape-) labels set up and run by artists we present Ruton Music from Finland. The mix was compiled by the label owners and is a labor of love and radio art in itself.
Ruton Music is a cassette label founded in April 2011 by musician Jussi Lehtisalo and film director Mika Taanila. By April 2021 Ruton Music has released 42 cassette albums, mainly rare live recordings, lo-fi demos, spoken word recordings, and other marginal recordings. The tapes are sold almost exclusively in the online store of [link -> Ektro Records (Pori, Finland).
