The Korean Loudspeaker War by Antonio Mainenti

South Korea erected giant units on its border, each of them consisted of megaphones rich with decibels. The idea was to transmit korean pop music, und thus inform the poor people of North Korean what the good life was about.

Antonio Mainenti reconstructed what the border zone more or less could sound like. K-pop meshes and clashes with Kim’s countermeasures. In the studio Antonio meshes and clashes with Rinus Van Alebeek (yes, that’s me) comments and suggestions.

What other use could be found for those loudspeakers? What would you do with them if you could control it?

Questions to which answers arise.

The show was recorded before a live audience on a secret location in Santa Croce Camerina in Sicily.
