Vladan Joler – Tracking the Trackers

8th May 20168th May 2016

Vladan Joler is a member of Sharelab. Read here who they are, and here what they have done so far. There is a whole world between that screen you are looking at right now and the people who, like me, use the internet for communication purposes.

Metadata make it possible that the messages float around. Bots make it possible that those data get collected. From this collection of information, a profile can be made, to find out who you are. This process doesn’t happen without human intervention from the trackers.

Vladan Joler went out to track those trackers, find out who they were and what they did. That’s what his talk is about.

Radio On broadcasts this talk and the discussions that were held at the AND festival in London. The conference was curated by Disruption Network Lab.
